Breaking Loco News:
We know a lot of you may have realized we have not opened registration for the Loco races as would have normally happened by now. There is a reason for that and this is not a message that we write without lots of thought. 

After consultation with the City of Conway regarding trail construction and being mindful of the fact that a lot of you plan your races far ahead of time, it is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2023 Papa Loco races. We discussed moving the location on trail but there is the high probability that both potential starting points will be disrupted. 

We are as disappointed as you are, but wanted to let you know as far ahead of time as possible and give you a window into why we made the decision we did. Even though Loco is a small race, we begin planning early and spending money to provide you with the best race possible. The quality of our race has long been a point of pride for us and we realized that quality would likely be affected if we chose to attempt the race and the trail was disrupted.
We as a race committee made the decision to cancel this years race and begin planning in earnest for 2024. I want to assure you that this is not goodbye for the Papa Loco races, simply a pause in the party. Stick with us folks, and you'll see a return to the party that you're used to.

Coming BACK in 2024:
The annual loop-de-loop of Tucker Creek Trail in Conway, Arkansas, Loco is a laid back race with ample aid station support, approximately every half mile. We offer both full and half marathon distances. And with an eight hour time limit for both it's the perfect choice for a first full. (We are walker friendly!)

Plus, at only $45 for either race, Loco is a bargain! All participants (that register in time) will receive shirts and finisher bling. Awards will be given to the top three finishers for each distance, male and female.

Packet pickup will be held on Friday afternoon and race morning near the start line with more specific information TBD.

Loco is Marathon Maniacs and Half Fanatics eligible if you participate on race day. We MAY have a limited number of openings for virtual racers in each distance. Virtual participants will receive a finishers medal but no shirt. (Please note that virtual races are not eligible for MM/HF due to their rules.)

The course is certified and a Boston Qualifier though be aware it has been known to register long on some GPS devices.
