    10th annual Lake Houston 10k 5k Presented by Serna Insurance Agency + Kid's 1k Presented by Primrose Schools – A project of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. Come run across beautiful Lake Houston in this USATF Sanctioned and Chip-Timed Event. Boasting a mostly shaded, flat course and scenic views, this race has attracted more than 900 runners to compete each year. A Kids Zone with bouncy houses will keep the kids entertained and our Post-Race Awards Party is host to food, drinks and vendors.

    *This race is meant for children 12 and under. A parent or guardian may run with their child, but must also be registered for an event.

    *No refunds are given after September 1, 2019. 



    Prizes and Awards ceremony will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.

    10k: $500 to the overall first place male and female.

    5k: $250 to the overall first place male and female

    Medals: Awarded to first, second and third place male and female finishers in the following categories: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and over 70.

    Kid's 1k: Medals will be awarded for first, second and third place by grade level: K & under, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and 6th grade. In addition, all kids will receive a finishers medal. 


    The course begins and ends at Kings Harbor in Kingwood, is mostly shaded and boasts picturesque views of Lake Houston and the Kingwood area. Click here for a course map

    Saturday, September 21, 2019. 8:00 a.m. - 2pm, Kings Harbor, 1660 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood, 77345.

    Race Day Packet Pick Up: Sunday, September 22, 2019, Kings Harbor,1660 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood, 77345, 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. 



    Kids Zone will open at 7:00 a.m. and feature bouncy houses and activities to keep the kids entertained.



    Time chipped bibs and safety pins will be provided to all runners at packet pickup. All bibs must be worn on the front of the body.

    Changing Races:

    Race changes are permitted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the race director if a race change is necessary. Race changes are not permitted on race day. 


    Strollers are only permitted in the 5k and must line up at the back of the starting lineup

    Race Day Registration:

    Will be held from 6:00 am – 7:00 am at Kings Harbor. Runners can also register online until Saturday, September 21, 2019.


    Parking is free and available in the Kings Harbor Parking Garage and on surrounding side streets. Please be aware that every individual MUST be at Kings Harbor BEFORE 6:30 am as the roads will be closed at this time. You will not have any access into Kings Harbor at all after 6:30 am. **You may choose to come after this time for any race but cannot park in Kings Harbor, there is parking elsewhere outside of the race route.
