                                              We are excited to bring you the 10th Annual New Canaan Santa Run! 
                                                Join us on Saturday Dec 23rd at Waveny Park in New Canaan CT.  

     

    We welcome and encourage all ages and abilities for our 5K run or 1-mile walk. Gather your family and friends to start your Christmas weekend together in the pastoral setting of a truly scenic park.
     
    Our Waveny Park course starts & finishes at the historic 'castle'. The park is home to spacious fields and groomed trails. You'll experience a true, peaceful setting with Nature on all sides!

     

    note that we are out of shirts as of 12/20 and will have Santa hats as a giveaway after that

     

    Funds raised will help underwrite the $30,000 cost for our food packing event. 
    Our volunteers, together with the “Feed My Starving Children” organization, will put together 100,000 meals to be distributed world wide. This massive endeavor will take place  at New Canaan High School on March 2nd, 2024. We can always use more volunteers and donations!
     
    Help us spread the word, invite everyone you know.  We  HO-HO-HOPE  you’ll join us!
     
    GREAT NEWS
    Santa will be on-site to run with the kids in the Santa Dash. He will also be  be available for family pictures & selfies before and after your run/walk.   
     
    EVENT DETAILS
    The first 200 participants to register  will receive a Santa t-shirt or Santa Hat - while supplies last. 
    Snacks and fluids will be available after you finish. 

     

    AWARDS - we have increased our distribution from previous years. The Overall male and female champions along with the top M & F finisher in each age group will receive a medal or award.
    Our NEW age groups are - 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

     

    EVENT SCHEDULE - Saturday Dec 23
    7:30 am     Pre-reg pickup- bibs, shirts, hats from the porch behind the castle. Arrive early, get a great spot, avoid the crunch!
                       (the kids will have more time to talk with Santa! And so will you!)
    8:30 am     Santa Dash for kids- age  8 & under ONLY! (Parents/guardians can accompany the kids to avoid drama)
    9:00 am     START of the Santa 5k Run & One mile Walk -
                        The 5K is a computer timed event. All 5k participants are eligible for awards. The one mile is NOT timed.
    10:00 am   Awards will be distributed

     

    PARKING   Absolutely plenty of it, and nearby! Sorry- NO valet parking available this year!
     
    We encourage donations for “Feed My Starving Children”
    All amounts are welcome. They all help us to purchase and pack 100,000 meals!!
     

For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...
