    Welcome to the 10th Annual Bandana Bolt!

    All fitness levels welcome. 

    We are excited to host the Bandana Bolt 5K & Team Relay at Seneca Park on Sunday, June 5, 2022! By registering for this event, you are supporting 13thirty Cancer Connect and our mission to help teens and young adults with cancer live their very best lives - TODAY!

    This year's Bandana Bolt introduces a 4.2 mile Team Relay Race to go along with its traditional 5K Run/Walk. 

    Details:

    In-Person Race Day: We're back at Seneca Park! The start for all in-person races will begin at 8:00am sharp!

    • 5K Run - The traditional course you know and love will be available to all runners!
    • Team Relay Race - Don't want to run the full 5K? Grab a couple family members or friends for our inaugural team relay! Every team will consist of three people, each completing a 1.4 mile lap around the park ($25/person, $75/team).
    • Fun Walk - Get your crew together for a beautiful walk around Seneca Park's pond!

    Virtual Race Weekend: YOU determine your own race course! Run, walk, or jog solo or with family and friends anywhere, anytime from Friday, June 3 - Sunday, June 5! Post a photo on social media, tag @13thirtyCancerConnect and use the hashtag #BandanaBolt2022. 

    Bandana Bolt Bundle: Make 2x the difference! Participate in the Rochester Bandana Bolt in June and the Syracuse Bandana Bolt in October! 

    • Syracuse Bandana Bolt: Sunday, October 2, 8:00 am @ Onondaga Lake Park (Bayview Shelter)

    Awards and Amenities:

    • Bandanas: The first 200 participants who register will receive a custom made, 2022 bandana to wear during the race!
      • Day-Of Bandana Pick-up (in-person participants only): Sunday, June 5th - Seneca Park
      • Mailed Bandanas (virtual participants only): Will be mailed before June 3rd

    Precautions for Live Race Day:

    13thirty Cancer Connect will continue to monitor the conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and follow guidance from the CDC and New York State.

    We kindly request that you adhere to all our safety guidelines and we reserve the right to deny entry to the event should protocols not be followed. Please check your email and 13thirty social media leading up to the race for race changes and updates. If you would like to change your registration type (virtual or in-person), please email stephen@13thirty.org.

    Precautions:
    • The course is on open roads. Please stay alert and follow the rules of the road.
    • No water stations throughout the course. Water bottles will be available in the shelter. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration.  
    • Post-race snacks and swag bags will be pre-packaged and distributed at the shelter. 
    • The 5K run will be officially timed by 13thirty Cancer Connect.
