The spring Race to the Taps 5K is May 21st, 2022 at New Belgium Brewing Company in Asheville. This course will start and end at New Belgium, on the French Broad River. The 5k will run UP and down beautiful rolling hills near the brewery. We'll have live music before and after the race from The Log Noggins. Two food trucks will be onsite for lunch...Melt Your Heart and El QueRuben.
1st - 3rd place awards will be given in multiple age groups to both male and female runners. We'll buy each runner a cold beverage from one of the featured taps at New Belgium after the race. Please have your ID. Non-alcoholic options will also be available. Dress up in fun beer or running themed costumes for a chance to win King or Queen of the Taps!
Join this unique and fun 5K race and stay for a beer...the beer that brought flavors of Belgium to North Carolina! New Belgium Brewing Company was inspired by a bike trip in Belgium back in 1988. The route is appropriate for the seasoned runner & the casual runner/walker. Dogs and Strollers will be allowed but as with most of Asheville, the route will have hills - so be ready! Check out the Photos tab for the 5k route!
A BIG THANK YOU to volunteers from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue who help to make this race possible by volunteering the day of the event.
PARKING: One lot will be open to 5k runners (the other for brewery guests only). New Belgium also has street parking and there is a parking lot at the Greenway entrance just north of the brewery.
Packet Pick-Up: Bibs and t-shirts can be picked up starting at 9:30am the day of the race, May 21st at New Belgium on Craven Street.
+ Early Packet Pick-Up will be Friday, May 20th at New Belgium Brewery. Stop at the Mix 96.5 tent and get your swag bag, t-shirt (if you registered before May 11) and your bib!
T-shirts are included IF you register prior to May 9th and will be available at Packet Pick-Up in the size you select.
Shirt is not guaranteed for registrations after May 9th. We are out of race shirts. If you register at this time, you will not receive a shirt!Parking is limited in this area. Please plan to arrive early to find a spot t...Ride Share if possible or UBER is a great option!
