    The Cooper Tire Centennial 5-Miler inaugural race was held in July 2014 to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary in the tire business. Please join us for the sixth annual Cooper Tire Centennial 5-Miler / 5K Race on Saturday, May 4th beginning at 9:00a.m. at the Cooper Tire Track and Field Complex at Findlay High School.  

    Cooper invites walkers and runners of all ages and skill levels to participate. At Cooper, we are proud of where we've been and confident of where we are going... come along with us!

    Proceeds from this race will support the Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Centennial Scholarship Fund, a component of the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. The scholarship provides financial support for the children of U.S. Cooper employees who are high school seniors pursuing further education at a technical college, university, or other institution. The focus is on students who intend to pursue a career related to manufacturing. To date, Cooper has awarded 18 scholarships worth $1,000 each!

    Centennial 5-Miler

    Starting at the Cooper Tire Track and Field Complex behind Findlay High School, runners will weave their way past the baseball and soccer fields and onto Howard Street. Turn at Broad Avenue, and we're on our way to Cooper! Follow Broad Avenue and Western Avenue all the way to Lima Avenue to see Cooper's Technical Center and Corporate Offices. We'll continue down Lima Avenue and make the turnaround at the Plant entrance. From there it is the same route back to the High School with a grand finish on the Cooper Track!

    5K Race

    Starting at the Cooper Tire Track and Field Complex behind Findlay High School, runners will weave their way past the baseball and soccer fields and onto Howard Street. Turn at Broad Avenue, and we're on our way toward Cooper! Follow Broad Avenue and Western Avenue all the way to Putnam Street and make a turnaround.  From there it is the same route back to the High School with a grand finish on the Cooper Track!

    This is a chip-timed race. Participants must be able to finish within the allotted time. No pets please.

    Awards

    • $600 toward a set of Cooper tires for Top Male and Female finishers in each race (5-Miler and 5K)
    • $25 Gift Card to Dave's Running for Top Male and Female finishers in the Masters Division (40+) in each race (5-Miler and 5K)
    • Medals for Top Three finishers in each age group of each race (5-Miler and 5K)

      • 36 - 45
      • 46 - 55
      • 56 - 65
      • 66 and up

    All participants receive an ultra-soft, stylish race shirt.

    Virtual Runner

    Can't make it into town for the race? No worries... join us remotely from the comfort of your own town. Register as a Virtual Runner, then hit your favorite route and log your 5 miles or 3.2 miles. Take a picture of your run and send it to CSHuffman@coopertire.com. Your race registration includes: race packet and t-shirt. We'd love to have you join us in person, but if that's just not possible, this is an excellent way to run with us in spirit!

    Cooper invites walkers and runners of all ages and skill levels to participate.  At Cooper, we are proud of where we've been and where we are going.   

    Kids' Run

    Takes place on the Cooper Track after the Centennial 5-Miler. Kids age 10 and younger are invited to run a lap around the track. Everyone gets a ribbon for participating
