The “Yo, Ho, Ho and a bottle of Run” is a fundraiser hosted by and to benefit the Beaufort Pirate Invasion. Held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, this event attracts participants of all ages to run, walk, swagger or jog along the downtown waterfront for this fun and scenic event.
Join us for a family fun event on August 13, 2022 in downtown Beaufort: The "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Run" 5K and 1-mile race. Pirates will be located at various course positions along the route to encourage and cheer participants on. Race timing will cease at 8:55am.
Prizes and awards will be presented immediately following the race for race winners at 9:15am.
Start Times:
7:30am 1-mile run/walk
8:00 5K run
Registration Fees:
Early registration is encouraged to receive your shirt size requirement.
1-Mile: $35
5K: $35
All registrants will receive a t-shirt.
Strollers and four-legged friends are welcome in the 1-Mile and 5K.
The town of Beaufort is offering free parking on race morning until 10:00am. This applies only to public lots, not privately owned lots.
Packet Pickup -
Pre-registered participants may pick up packets on Friday, August 12 from 3:00 pm-6:00pm at John Newton Park (Next to the Dockhouse) at the Beaufort Pirate Invasion Tent
Race packet pickup and registration on race day will be held at John Newton Park (next to the Dockhouse) in downtown Beaufort from 7:00-7:30-8:00 am.
Timing:
This year's race will be timed by Run the East LLC using disposable bib tags. Runners must pick up and wear their race bibs during the race. Make sure you do not bend the timing chip on the bib.
Awards: at John Newton Park 9:15am
Medallions are given to the:
Top 3 overall male and female finishers in the 5K
Top 3 male and female age group finishers in the 5K ages 15-29
Top 2 male and female age group finishers in the 5K ages 30-70+
Top 1 male and female wheelchair finishers in the 5K
Age groups are - 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
