    Dear Racer,

    In conjunction with state and federal guidelines we are postponing the THREE CREEKS event.  At this point we do not have a new date for the event because, like all of you, we have no idea how long the state of emergency will last.  As soon gathering together is safe to do again we will contact you with the new date for the event and then you can let us know if you are still able to participate.  

    In the meantime please reply to this email with any questions or requests.

    Please stay safe and continue to run or walk which is not only good for us physically, but helpful for our mental health & well being.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Join us on Saturday, March 28th at 9am for The Three Creeks Half Marathon 10K 5K!

    This is a GREAT race venue featuring one of most scenic and popular running sites in Ohio, hosted by Three Creeks Metro Park this event is ideal for anyone who enjoys distance running and marathon training.  It also features a 5K & 10K so the event has something for everyone! This is the perfect early season race to add to your running schedule and it is an excellent value! 

    START TIME - 9am

    SWAG - All participants receive a long sleeved quarter zip technical shirt, chip timed custom bib, finisher medal along with post race food & drink.

    AWARDS  - Custom finisher medals will be awarded to all participants at the finish line.  In addition, plaques will be awarded on a requested basis for those winners that would like a personalized plaque.  Award categories include the top 3 RUNNERS in the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K as follows:  19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.  The top 3 WALKERS overall by event, Half, 10K & 5K are eligible for an award.  If you qualify for an award and would like to receive it, please e-mail Linda at linda@ultrafitusa.com by 4/4/2020.  Local winners may pick up at Columbus Running Company Dublin, while out of town runners will have their awards mailed. 

    PACKET PICK-UP - Packet pick-up will be on RACE DAY ONLY starting at 7:30am until 8:45am at Three Creeks.  

    ABOUT THE COURSE - This is a paved running trail that weaves throughout open grassy fields, thick beautiful forests, across bridges, and more.

    CHARITABLE PARTNER:  Ultrafit-USA has teamed up with GARRETT RECOVERY.  Garrett Recovery includes the HOPE Resource Center that serves individuals at the greatest risk for overdose due to opioid abuse with an emphasis on individuals being sexually exploited through sex trafficking on the westside of Columbus (the Hilltop).  Heroin and opioid overdose deaths are now the leading cause of death for Ohio residents under the age of 55. Franklin County has five zip codes of concerns including the Hilltop community where Garrett is located.  On the date of January 31, 2020 alone, ten drug overdoses were reported on just that one day, this demonstrates the dire need of community.

    Garrett Recovery offers safe, secure and supportive sober living and recovery while the HOPE Resource Center which provides clothing, meals, health care, case management and support for the women of the streets who continue to struggle with addiction.  If you are able to provide a cash donation, know that every dollar helps. Or you may bring the following much needed items to the race and we will provide them to GR.

    Items of current need: Travel size toiletries, deodorant, individual wet wipes , feminine wipes, new or gently sneakers, shoes, chap stick, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, bandaids, draw string bags (like those issued at races)  In addition, ready to serve meals like chicken salad/crackers, soft chew bars, and small bags of chips/nuts/snacks.
