    Welcome to the 18th annual Headlands Endurance Runs featuring the 50M and Trail Marathon.  Both events take place entirely in the Marin Headlands. The 50M event is two 25 mile loops. The Marathon is one 26.2 mile loop.

    ALL ENTRANTS TO RECEIVE:

    1. Headlands Endurance Runs - Hoodie (We also have some previous years shirts to give away shall any be left over after volunteers receive them)
    2. Pacific Coast Trail Runs - Go run a Trail Trucker Hat
    3. All finisher receive a unique wooden finisher medal by Trailblazer Awards (Made in the USA)
    4. All finishers may receive an "Age Group Announcement and Award" if qualified.
    5. Podium "Bigh A$$ Check" Award (Top Three Males & Top Three Females) if qualified.
    6. Chef Yaku Moton-Spruill Post Race Meal (Yaku to prepare post race meal offsite due to NPS regulations) and Beverages.
    7. Free downloadable on-course professional photos of your Race.

    10. Epic beachside start/finish line area at Rodeo Beach to relax after your run and hang your trail running buddies.

    The Headlands 50M will start and finish at the Rodeo Beach Picnic Area as both the Headlands Endurance Runs and Rodeo Beach Trail Runs have started and finished for more than 20 years.

    PARKING:  

    It's important to know that entrants are not allowed to park in two main areas near the start/finish area. New, as part of National Park Service monitoring of events in 2023 and beyond, they will be watchful and ticket as needed. Please refer to this map for areas to park. The closest spot is at the lagoon bridge. See the most western part of the green rectangle. Please park adjacent and nice'n'tight. There will be a parking monitor out there to assure you are parking correctly.

    Time Limit: 14 Hours (16:40 min/mile pace)
    Loop #1: Counter- Clockwise Direction
    Loop #2: Counter- Clockwise Direction
    Cut-off #1 @ Rodeo Beach (Completion of First Loop): 12:32pm (15:48 min/mile pace)
    Cut-off #2 @ Tennessee Valley #3 (Mile 36.9): 3:52pm (16:08 min/mile pace)

    TRAIL MARATHON COURSE INFO:

    Start time: 8:00 AM
    End time: 8:00 PM (Sunset 8:09 PM)
    Runner Check-In Opens: 7:00 AM
    Race Briefing: 7:45 AM
    Time Limit: 12 Hours (27:29 min/mile pace)

    Cut-off Time: You have 5 hours to get to Mile 12.9 at Tennessee Valley #1. If you do not reach this point in time, you will be sent to the finish line for a Rodeo Beach 30K finish or a "Did Not Finish" DNF shall you not want to continue on.DROP BAGS: 

    • Tennessee Valley A/S - All drop bags can be dropped off at the start/finish race morning. All drop bags will be placed on a blue tarp hanging out the back of the black truck. Drop bags will be delivered before first runner arrives at Tennessee Valley Aid Station.
    • Rodeo Beach A/S - Start/Finish Area Drop bags can be placed on the blue tarp next to the aid station. Some runners use their car.
     
    PACERS (Safety Runners):
    • Pacers are allowed on course to start the second loop and beyond.
    • Entrants can pay for the Pacer Now (Preferably).
    • Each Pacer will cost $25. v e n m o --> grego r y - l an ct o t
    • Pacer will receive a "Pacer" Bib. (Must wear on front of person)
    • Pacer will receive a wristband to enjoy a post race meal and food and beverage along the course.
    • Pacer cannot run in front of Entrant. The reason is for safety. We are the firm believer that if you are in front of your runner, and they have an issue (fall, vision, or cardiac issues), then being in back is better than front.
    • Pacers cannot "mule": carry personal belongings or food of entrant.
    • Pacer is required to sign waiver at start/finish line.
    • Regardless of when the Pacer fee is paid, they must sign a waiver.
    • If you have two pacers, then that is $50.
    • If the first pacer starts at Rodeo Beach, a second pacer can start at any of the other aid stations. However, they must have checked in at the start/finish.
