2024 Habitat Pittsburgh Youth Triathlon
Register now for the 2024 Habitat for Humanity of Greatert Pittsburgh Youth Triathlon! The Habitat Pittsburgh Youth Tri is for ages 7-15 and open to young athletes of all ability levels—as long as they can swim, bike, and run on their own. Athletes will receive a t-shirt to tie-dye, as well as a medal upon finishing. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 boy and girl finishers in each age bracket. Pre-Race Informational Meeting
Join us the evening before the event (Friday, July 19 at 6:30pm at the North Park Pool) for a Pre-Race Information meeting where athletes can preview the course and parents can ask questions. The Pre-Race Info Meeting is not required but is recommeneded, particularly for first-time participants.
Athlete Fundraising
For over 20 years the Habitat Pittsburgh's Youth Triathlons have raised funds to support our nonprofit's Homeownership and Home Repair Programs for local, low- to moderate-income families. Athletes are encouraged to fundraise for Habitat Pittsburgh’s affordable homeownership and home repair programs. You can setup an easy, secure, online fundraising page by clicking here. The top fundraisers will receive a giftcard from Pro Bike+Run!
Event details and schedule
The Race
On raceday, athletes should arrive at 7am for check-in/registration. A Race-Kickoff Meeting will begin at 7:45am, and the first heat will start at 8am. The Race Course Map is available at HabitatYouthTri.com, where you'll find more details including your race number (available the day prior to the race).
Ages 7 + 8 + 9
- Swim 50 meters
- Bike 1.5 miles
- Run 0.5 mile
Ages 10 + 11 + 12
- Swim 100 meters
- Bike 2.4 miles
- Run 1 mile
Ages 13 + 14 + 15
- Swim 400 meters
- Bike 7 miles
- Run 2 miles

Please note:
* Helmet and bike required for all athletes.
** Refunds unavailable. Any canceled registrations will be considered a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh.
*** There will be no rain date if this event is canceled due to inclement weather. All registration fees will be considered a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh. We will make every effort to work around any adverse weather conditions on race day, through adjusting start times as necessary. (We have never had to cancel the event due to weather.)
