Come join us as we run wild through the streets of Cowtown! This fun 5K will take you through Wichita's wild west, along the Museum District, and along the Arkansas River. The course is open for runners seeking a personal best while offering enough eye appeal for those looking for a nice stoll with the family. All participants will receive a t-shirt and participation medal. Awards will also be given by age group and gender.

Additional recognition will be given to runners beating "outlaws" to the finish line. Each outlaw represents an Old Cowtown gang. If you beat the outlaw across the finish line, you have collected their bounty. Outlaws will run the 5K at 20, 25, 30, and 35 minutes (give or take). If you collect the bounty you will receive a slider medal to attach to your participation award. These medals are beautiful and will truly be a showpiece to your running collection. The participation medal design is based upon a mounted posse tailing wanted outlaws.

After the run, join us for an ice-cold sarsaparilla and the best awards cermony West of the Pecos! If sarsaparilla is not your thing, we will have other frosty drinks to wet your whistle!  Finisher medals will come in gold, silver, and bronze (1st, 2nd, and 3rd repectively) for the categories listed below.
