    The Little Village Rotary Club present 4th Annual Carrera por la Paz, or Race for Peace, a 5K Run/Walk Event. The objective is to promote Peace and anti-violence by supporting youth programs in Chicago’s Little Village and surrounding communities.

    Race for Peace 2024 will have competitive and non-competitive 5K in-person events. Only the competitive 5K in-person event will qualify runners for the cash prizes. All of the 5K in-person events will qualify runners for the age group and gender awards.

    • All registered runners will receive a finisher medallion and Race Day event t-shirt.
    • Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three runners, both men and women categories.
    • Award medals will be given to the top runners in various age & gender categories.


    The race will be chip-timed on a certified 5K course (IL21011NM).
