Lace up your sneakers and get ready for an epic, one-of-a-kind 5k experience! Join us for our inaugural 5k that supports student scholarships. Every penny raised will be donated to High 5 a Mav, our annual community giving campaign that raises money to provide scholarships to current students. You won’t want to miss this exciting experience!
Legends of The Quad: From fun games to CMU Band performances, The Legends of The Quad will have surprises to keep your spirits high!
Race Packet: All race participants will receive bib, timing chip and designer shirt.
Explore CMU Campus: Discover the stunning CMU campus as you race along a scenic course. Mav Day 5k is not just a run/walk – it’s an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the CMU campus. This closed course race will start and end at the Hamilton Recreation Center. Race begins promptly at 11am.
High 5 a MAV Fundraiser: Your participation supports the High 5 a MAV initiative, making a positive impact on the CMU community. Let's come together to make a difference!
Post-Race Party: Celebrate your accomplishment at the Maverick Days alumni zone, where you’ll be treated to a free BBQ and drinks. Reconnect with fellow racers, check live race results and share your 5k stories. Entry to the Maverick Days Alumni zone is free for all 5k participants.
FREE Kids Fun Run with Rowdy!: All kids 12 and under are invited to join Rowdy in a 100 yard dash. No registration required. Kids Fun Run will begin at 12pm. Meet on the football practice field (adjacent to the 5k starting line).

Race Registration
Register online today to take advantage of early-bird pricing and for shirt guarantee (highly recommended). Adults $30, Students $20, Kids 12 & Under FREE! Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Thursday, April 4th. In-person registration will be available ($10 price increase) during packet pick-up on Friday, April 5th from 6-7:30pm at the CMU University Center. Race day registration will be available from 9-10:30am at the race starting line.
This is a family-friendly event. We welcome all runners, joggers, walkers and strollers. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on campus.

All students who participate in this 5k are automatically entered to win a $500 scholarship! We are giving away 3 scholarships for this event, so be sure to register today!
