Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10k and 5k returns this year and is presented by the City of Sunland Park. The event will start and finish at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

This race is perfect for both first-time runners and experienced athletes who want to take on a new challenge or improve their time.

There is also an opportunity for workplace groups to get active and accomplish a common goal through the Workplace Race.

REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 6PM ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP.  
Please see below for packet pickup details!  Registered runners may send friend/family to pick up their packets.

Entry fee includes long-sleeved moisture-wicking race shirt, athlete bag, post-race snacks and drinks, an interactive race day Expo, chip timing, a finisher medal for Half Marathon finishers, and more!

Online registration closes on November 10 at 6:30pm. You may register online or in-person at packet pick-up on November 9 & 10. No race day registration or packet pick-up.

 

RACE FOR A CAUSE! CHARITY PROGRAM

Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10k & 5k supports multiple nonprofit organizations.  Participants may sign up to raise funds for one of the race’s charitable partners! Participants who meet the goal of raising $500 will receive a refund of their race registration fee.  All fundraising will be online through RunSignUp, and registrants who sign up to raise funds will be able to direct others to their fundraising link.

 

WORKPLACE RACE

Ditch the desk and get active at the Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Workplace Race, a fitness challenge for organizations of all sizes and participants of all levels! 8:00am - Half Marathon begins
8:05am - 10K Run begins
8:10am - 5K Run begins

HALF MARATHON COURSE LIMIT

The half marathon course has a time limit of 3 hours and 45 minutes. There are no time limits for the 5k and 10k courses.

AWARDS

Awards will be given to the Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall in each distance category. First through third place will be awarded for males and females in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races for each of the following categories: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

Exit I-10 at Sunland Park Drive and turn South. Then take a left onto Futurity Drive (1200 Futurity Drive).

As you leave the race site, please be aware and considerate of participants who may still be running. Your patience is appreciated.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

All entry fees are non-refundable, non-deferrable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Registered athletes seeking to change their registration from one distance to another can do so by following the directions at https://runsignup.com/How-To/Transfer-To-Another-Event.
