    RESCHEDULED Time, Date, and Place: January 27, 2024 at 8:00 am. Starts and finishes at the Calhoun's in Oak Ridge.

    Bib pickup- 6:15am - 7:45am and post race food will be inside Calhoun's. There will be bathrooms inside and portables outside.

    Course Description and Highlights: Course update: USATF certified - TN24002MS. The new route is an out and back course, not involving the lollipop loop we have had in the past. Course time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutesCourse is open to traffic! Headphones are discouraged.

    Give-away: Shirt order will be placed January 3. After 1/3, inventory on RSU will indicate sizes remaining. No t-shirt: deduct $5.

    Awards: Awards to the top 3 Overall, age groups, and specialty categories. Top Masters (As defined by fastest person age 40 and above, not limited to 40-49) Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 50 and above, not limited to 50-59), Senior Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 60 and above, not limited to 60-69) male and female. 

    Grand Prix Points Team Competition: The Oak Ridge 10 and 5 Milers are on the 2024 Team Competition schedule. 2024 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Year’s Day 5K on January 1, 2025. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.

    Inclement Weather: In case of inclement weather, please check the KTC Facebook page or this registration page for updated information. Please see KTC Safety Policy at the bottom of this page for more information. If the race is postponed or cancelled, KTC Staff will email all participants on Friday afternoon before the race.

    Grand Prix Points: 2024 Grand Prix Points awarded for both individuals and teams.

    Training: Looking for a structured training program? Check out KTC's RunKNOX Group! 2023/24 Training is available for both in-person and virtual options. Participants receive weekly emails and have the opportunity to participate in 6 workouts each week: Monday Morning Runs, Tuesday Night Runs, Wednesday Morning Runs, and Saturday Morning Runs. In addition to the runs there is Functional Mobility Training on Monday and Thursday evenings.

    Refreshments: Grab and go post-race snacks will be available.

    Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations; roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the courses. Headphones are discouraged and it's particularly important on this course as it is narrow and winding, participants run with traffic (vs. against traffic), and the course is open to traffic.
