Rain Delay for Reindeer Run 2023 

Due to Saturday morning’s weather forecast, we will be delaying the start of our run. Expect packet pickup and registration to begin at 11 am. We will proceed with the national anthem and running events as soon as weather permits. We thank you for your flexibility and support. More information to come.

Join us this December for the 11th Annual Reindeer Run, sponsored by Davie Shoring. 

Reindeer Run is an annual Christmas themed chip timed 5K race and 1-mile run/walk held in Hammond, Louisiana's historic downtown district. We thank title sponsor Davie Shoring and various support partners for their valued assistance in making this event a community favorite.

ALL participants in both the 5K and 1 Mile run can expect to receive a custom finisher medal after their events. This will be an exciting event for both seasoned runners and families - a great time for all!

Because the Reindeer Run is a family event we welcome strollers, including jogging strollers, onto the course. Children in strollers do not have to be registered unless a parent wants his or her child to also receive a finisher medal.

Packet pickup:

Reindeer Run 2023 packet pickup will be Thursday, Nov. 30 at Perfectly Fit Performance Sports (303 W Minnesota Park Rd suite E, Hammond, LA 70403) from 10 am - 5:30 pm, and again on race day morning at the park.

Event details and schedule:

Our race starts and finishes in Downtown Hammond's Cate Square Park and concludes with a Holiday themed after Party.

The 1 Mile fun run begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K will start immediately after the last 1-mile runner clears the course (approximately 8:30).

Downtown Hammond provides numerous FREE parking options, including a parking mall just a short walk away from the starting line.
