Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is excited to be launching
a new fundraiser this year. During the month of September, our goal is to raise
ten million dollars for childhood cancer research. It may seem like a large
goal, but if we can get 10,000 individuals (or teams) to run 100 miles each,
with a $10 pledge per mile, we can achieve the ten million dollar goal!

If you are unfamiliar with ALSF, we are one of the largest
national charities dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.  The foundation emerged from a lemonade stand
held by a four year old cancer patient, Alex Scott. To date, over 60 million
dollars has been raised, which has funded over 300 research projects. To find
out more information about ALSF, visit http://www.alexslemonade.org/about-alexs-lemonade-stand-foundation-childhood-cancer.

We are reaching out to your running club because the more
groups that get involved, the more runners we will have to fight childhood
cancer. Feel free to run the miles individually, or collectively to represent
your club. However you do it, you will be running to find a cure!

Thank you for taking the time to consider joining our
Million Mile Run program this summer. If you would like to get your running
group involved, or find out more information about ALSF, we would be happy to
send you additional materials!
