ChildHelp, an organization dedicated to preventing and treating victims of child abuse, is sponsoring a 5K race, 1 Mile Fun Walk, and other family activities. All proceeds will benefit Childhelp Michigan’s programs that will help prevent and treat victims of child abuse and neglect in Michigan.

This event takes place in honor of Dominick Calhoun, a happy four-year-old boy from the Flint, Michigan area and a victim of child abuse died at the hands of his mother’s boyfriend. Dominick, and all kids, deserve a chance to live safe, long, healthy, and happy lives. The growing epidemic of child abuse and neglect claims the lives of five innocent children each day. Childhelp seeks to prevent this problem, treat its unfortunate victims, and spread awareness so that others may do the same.
